Family house by the lake Hosjön

Our wooden house, built in 1976, have two floors. On the lower there is a large living room furnished with sofas, a TV-set, a large dining table and a piano. On the same floor there is also one bedroom (for our guests), a kitchen, a small laundry room and a small bathroom with shower. Upstairs there is a larger room, currently used by us adults as a combined bedroom and office, and two smaller bedrooms used by our kids. There is also a closet and a larger bathroom with a tub.

About the location

Our house lies in Hosjö, the most eastern suburb of Falun, the capital city in the region of Dalarna (https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Dalarna).
We live in a calm district, with large green areas surrounding the streets.
The whole district lies in between two lakes and from our house there is just a few hundred meters to several small beaches.
The nearest grocery store is 1,5 km away. In our neighbourhood there is also a pizzeria, a hairdresser and a small public library. Hosjö has good public transport into the city of Falun, 8 km away, with busses that come and goes several times each hour.

Falun is an old town with modern centre. Within walking distance from the centre there are blocks with elderly picturesque wooden houses, remainders of the past times when the city was one of the most important in Sweden. The town was built around the largest copper mine in the country, a mine that has 1000 year history but has been closed for about two decades. Due to its mining history the whole landscape around Falun is now a UNESCO World Heritage site,

Falun is a good point to start if you want see more of Sweden. If you go 50 km NV you'll be in the Siljan district, the most picturesque part of our region with small towns surrounded by a hilly, wooded landscape with many lakes,
see http://www.visitdalarna.se/en/siljan/contact/the-siljan-district/.

From Falun you can also travel 200 km SE to our capital Stockholm or the other larger cities that lies west of it around the large lake of Malaren,
see https://www.visitstockholm.com/.

The easiest way to get to Falun is to fly to the Arlanda airport north of Stockholm, and then take a train from there to our city. The train takes less then 3 hours,
