Pretty Rural Miners Cottage in Wales - Aberdare

Our home was built in 1802 and is one of the oldest miners cottages in the South Wales Valleys, it is situated at the end of a small row of cottages surrounded by fields and mountains, yet is only a 15 minute walk away from the main town centre and train station where Cardiff can be reached in a 30 minute train journey. There is also a golf course approx 1.5 miles away.
Our home has plenty of character, yet has modern central heating, windows and electrics/internet etc...
We have horses and chickens that you are welcome to meet, yet you wont have to be responsible for their care as our lovely neighbours will look after them.

About the location

Aberdare is situated in the South Wales Valleys, it was known as "Queen of the valleys" in bygone years. Aberdare has lots of history and a bustling little town with coffee shops and a few restaurants, supermarkets and hospitals are all within a 5 minute drive. The beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park is approx 5 miles away, where you can enjoy fantastic scenery and hiking/climbing. The major cities of Cardiff and Swansea are both within a half hour drive, and beautiful beaches within 45 minutes.
