Lovely family home in trendy Hackney - London

Our house is an attractive double-fronted Victorian terraced (row) house. It is a comfortable spacious house ideal for a visiting family. Spread over three floors, the accommodation includes three double bedrooms, two large reception rooms one of which we use as a formal dining room/music room and the other as a comfortable sitting room with TV, fireplace, two sofas (one a sofabed), bookshelves. Downstairs there is an eat-in kitchen and a studio/playroom/additional sitting room. The downstairs bathroom has a full-length tub and separate shower stall, and the top floor has a wet room with walk-in shower and WC. There are an additional two cloakrooms on ground and basement level. There is a utility room with washing machine, freezer and storage.
We have a small, very private low maintenance garden with well-established plants. It provides us with a lovely sunny space that we eat out in in the summer.

About the location

Hackney is a buzzy, arty and popular area of north-east London, very close to the historic City financial district. Our house stands between family-friendly Stoke Newington with its villagey High Street, organic markets and independent shops, and hip Dalston, known for coffee bars, restaurants, wonderful Arcola theatre, Rio independent cinema, jazz clubs and night life. There is excellent public transport, with three overground railway stations a few minutes` walk away, linking you to Central London, the Olympic Park, London Underground and all mainline train stations. Four buses stop at the top of our street. Hackney has great open spaces and sports facilities.
