350 year old timber framed terraced house on 3 floors

Our home is a light filled 3 storey timber framed cottage with original timber beams and a secluded South facing walled garden with lawn and beds.

The house can comfortably accommodate 4 adults.

We've just completed renovating the whole house including new bathroom, kitchen, flooring, curtains and lighting throughout.

Furnished with a mix of vintage finds and contemporary styling, there's lots of natural light throughout the house.

In the living room there's a wood burner for cosy evenings, comfortable vintage furniture and an array of art and objects collected over the years.

The dining area is open plan to the living room with seating for 6.

Modern fitted kitchen with breakfast bar for 4, small dishwasher, gas and electric double oven, microwave, a walk in larder area and plenty of cupboard space.

A door opens from the kitchen onto the garden.

There's garden furniture including table and chairs, BBQ, loungers and a garden bench in the shade.

The washing machine and tumble dryer are in the basement accessed by fairly steep stairs.

Master bedroom has a kingsize bed. The guest bedroom is next to the master bedroom and has a standard double bed. Both bedrooms have blackout curtains. The stairs up to the bedrooms wind and have a traditional rope for a bannister.

Family bathroom is opposite the bedrooms and has a shower, toilet and separate bath which is shorter but deeper than the average bath. There's restricted ceiling height where the ceiling slopes on the window side of the bathroom.

There's an additional cloakroom with WC off the kitchen on the ground floor.

Both bedrooms face the street. There are a few passing cars but on the whole it's a quiet street, especially at night. You'll hear birds more than you'll hear traffic.

The height of the doorway between the kitchen and living / dining room is restricted so if you're over 5ft 10 you'll need to duck.

The Anchor pub is a friendly neighbourhood pub with garden, situated just a couple of doors along at the end of Abbey street.

Although our house is listed under suburban, it's right in the heart of the small town. The site doesn't have a drop down for this situation!
