19th century flat near the Thames on the South Bank home swap

A one bedroom flat, part of a 3 storey purpose built 19th century block in the historic conservation area of the South Bank of London. It is a few minutes walk away from the Thames, the National Theatre, the Southbank Centre, Blackfriars and Waterloo Bridges. We have been fortunate to call this apartment our home for 12 years in a Conservation Area which is mentioned in guide books with the local pub, the Kings Arms featuring regularly as one of the best Real Ale pubs in London. Although on the first floor of the building, we are lucky enough to have a garden with a view of both the Oxo Tower and the London Eye, and a balcony which catches the sun at the end of the day. We have one bedroom, one bathroom, an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge area and a small study.

About the location

The South Bank in London is now a hub for Arts and Tourism. Within 5 minutes walking you can access the National Theatre, the Old Vic and Young Vic Theatres, the Hayward Gallery, the Southbank Centre, the Royal Festival hall. And once you've exhausted those you are 15 minutes from the Millenium Bridge, the London Eye, and the world renowned foodie destination, Borough Market.
