Stonehaven cottage, Ulverston South Lakeland Cumbria

Our traditional stone-built cottage is in the delightful market town of Ulverston in the Southern Lake District, Cumbria. Ulverston is an ideal location for quick access to the beautiful Lake District. The shores of Lake Windermere are only a 15 mins drive away where you can explore the whole of the National Park and fully appreciate the stunning lakes. Activities range from scenic walks to serious fell walking, water-skiing or cream teas in the cafes. There is something for everyone in The Lake District.

The cottage is in a quiet street and a five minute stroll from the town centre. There is a cosy living room with a log-burning stove, Sky TV & Wi-Fi. A separate dining room leads to a fully fitted kitchen & utility. Gas cooker, fridge freezer & microwave,

The 1st floor has a double bedroom and ample wardrobe space. (room for travel cot).

A tiled bathroom with bath and shower. Landing and stairs leading to 2nd floor bedroom with a double bed and also room for a cot; rooms are bright and spacious.

There is an enclosed garden (safe for children) with lawn and patio area at the rear of the cottage, and a barbecue for those lazy summer evenings.

About the location

The Market town of Ulverston is renowned for its warmth and for welcoming visitors from all around the globe. Festivals are held throughout the year and make for a vibrant place to be. The town marks the start of the Cumbrian Way (for serious walkers) but has plenty of interesting local walks. Refreshing beach walks overlook the beautiful Morecambe Bay.

There is an abundance of places to eat. Restaurants,traditional pubs,cafes and tea-rooms in the town centre to cater for all tastes.The town is well served by local shops and supermarkets.
