Modern House in a Park

The house sets in National Trust's land, and a managing company takes care of the landscape.

Small children will enjoy the stay, as they can cycle to nearby playgrounds and parks (Woodhey Wood and Stamford Wood) without encountering traffic in certain routes.

There are walk routes, cycle routes and horse riding routes on the door step.

Stamford Brook passes right by the house.

The nearest tram station and Bridgewater Canal are both about five minutes' drive away. Every ten minutes a tram will leave for Manchester city centre.

A pub, some takeaways, and a Waitrose supermarket are within walking distance.

Trafford Centre, the biggest shopping mall in Europe, is fifteen minutes' drive away.


The house is well situated for enjoying the surrounding Cheshire countryside (two national trust parks nearby) and local towns as well as Manchester city life, and it is also a good foothold for exploring the North West England area and coast. Peak district is 40 minutes driving away; Lake District is two hour driving away; Blackpool leisure beach is one hour driving away; North Wales coast (Conwy Castle) is one hour and 20 minutes driving away.

The house is a new build with modern facilities. A bunk bed with underneath playing den and a slide in the large family room (with a sofa bed) would be the favorite place for any young kid.

The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, free stand island/breakfast bar, extendable table for up to 10 people. The reception room on the ground floor is used as a music room with a silence piano as well as a big TV screen. On the first floor are the master bed room with en suite and king size bed, and a big family room with a big TV screen, game console, a keyboard and L-shape sofa (sofa bed) on one half, and a bank bed with slide on the other side. On the second floor, there are three rooms. To the east is a reception/guest room with a wonderful view equipped with a sofa bed. The other is a study with one single bed. The last is a single room for my daughter with a big desk, two wardrobes and one big book shelf.
