Whitstable family home, walking distance to beach and town centre
Our spacious, light-filled three-bedroom home is the perfect base for a family seaside adventure.
The house offers a large open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen with patio doors opening on to a garden with terrace – perfect for dining al-fresco on a summer’s evening (the sunsets are magnificent!). A second lounge with double sofa bed sits to the front of the house and can be used as a bedroom if needed.
Upstairs is a newly updated family bathroom with bath and shower. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious super-king bed and distant sea views. The second bedroom is our 5 year old daughter's and contains a single bed, while the third bedroom is used by our two-year old and also has a single bed. We can provide airbeds if you would like more sleeping space.
We have WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher. Little visitors are welcome to play with our children's toys.
I'm afraid that due to allergies, we can't accommodate dogs.
About the location
Whitstable is a charming seaside town in Kent, around an hour from London. Our house is ideally located less than ten minutes walk from the buzzing town centre with its eclectic shops, internationally renowned restaurants, delightful delis, small art galleries and beach. More sedate Tankerton High Street can also be reached in less than ten minutes walk, and offers a good range of friendly shops and cafes, as well as a quieter, more spacious stretch of beach that makes the ideal base for a day of seaside fun.
The house is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful East Kent coast and we are just five minutes walk from Whitstable train station, with its links to London, which is an hour’s drive away. Our driveway has off-road parking for two cars – a real rarity in this location!
We are also around 20 minutes drive or an easy bus drive away from the cathedral city of Canterbury, which is great for shopping, eating out and visiting larger museums and art galleries.
