Beautiful Victorian Home walking distance to everything

Our home is a comfortable home to hang out, cook, entertain, play in the yard and walk to all the city sights. We have been lovingly restoring it in phases and it has a lot of original charm. Children love it here with its master carpenter built matching playhouse in the yard and the "secret" staircase from the kitchen to the upper deck. We have bikes to lend and helpful friendly neighbours!

About the location

Halifax is an important historic city with many old churches, armouries and museums. The waterfront is a lovely walk with opportunities to take whale watching tours, go on the Theodore Tugboat or the Harbour Hopper amphibian vehicle which tours the city and then drives into the harbour! There are great restaurants, shops, festivals and two wonderful markets. Within 30 minutes or less you can drive to incredible beaches and hikes in all directions and there is the famous Point Pleasant Park, a beautiful vast treed park where you can watch the boats on the "arm". Right downtown is the botanical gardens with some ancient trees and shrubs and a whimsical bandstand and coffee shop. Shopping in Halifax is fantastic and there are easy day trips to such beauties as Wolfville, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg and the French Shore as well as the opportunity to venture out to PEI or Cape Breton for a longer trip.
