The living room / kitchen is 30 x 16 ft with 10ft celings and large windows, overlooking the beach and English channel at the front and wooded cliff behind. There are two, more modestly sized bedrooms, one also facing the sea.

About the location

St Leonards on Sea was built as a model seaside resort in the mid 19th century and retains many fine buildings from that time. You can swim, paddleboard or kitesurf from the beach opposite the house or from the award-wiinning Marina Beach 150 yards away. Nearby Hastings has a lively music scene, galleries, the last beach-launched fishing fleet in England and a great country park with cliff top walks and stunning views. There is great walking country around the area, within the Sussex Downs and Weald, easily reachable by train if you don't want to drive. An automatic Smart car can be included in the exchange, but please note that it's a two seater only. London is 1hr 20 mins by train, with four trains an hour. Brighton is 1 hour by train.
