About the location

North Wales is beautiful! We are endowed with lovely beaches, castles and the marvelous mountains of Snowdonia. Locally we are close to the Victorian Resort of Llandudno which is one of the loveliest Victorian Sea Fronts in the UK. It has a a back drop of the Great Orme which is accessible by walking, cable car or driving. The Orme is beautiful and offers a dry ski slope and tebogan as well as walking trails with lovely views over to Anglesey and Snowdonia. the Welsh Mountain Zoo is only a mile from the house and has a free bus service from the railway station. Then there is the medieval castle and walled town of Conwy that is only about 4 miles away from Rhos on Sea. There is a fabulous lake in Llanberis called Llyn Padarn that offers spectacular views and the Snowdon Railway to take you up Wales' tallest mountain, if you don't want to walk! There is a cavernous trampoline experience, a human zip wire. Betwys y Coed is within Snowdonia and is beautiful to visit and to walk. It is just a great place to live!
We have a small local theatre and cinema in Colwyn Bay. A larger theatre and events centre in Llandudno and other theatres along the coast.
The Roman city of Chester is about 50 minutes away by car and an hour by train. Chester is well worth a visit as it has Roman and medieval identity that gives it a distinctive character. Liverpool which has a large Tate Modern and Beatles Museum as well as a dock area which as been both renevated and made accessible is a good venue and is also good shopping.
