We are 5 minutes walk from the beautiful but little known Buttes Chaumont park, which has wonderful views across Paris, a lake, open air restaurants and playgrounds. We are 5 minutes by metro from the canal Saint Martin with cinemas (films in English and French), and also boat trips, rowing, sailing and watersports in July and August during Paris Plage at la Villette. The La Villette Science museum, Music museum, jazz festival and park with many activities for children and adults are also in the 19th arrondissement. 3 times a week there is a large fresh food market a few minutes from our home.
We are 10 minutes by metro from the historic Marais quarter and Belleville, one of the two Chinese areas in Paris is 5-10 minutes walk, with all kinds of Asian restaurants and food stores.
