I love Hackney

Summary.

This is a house in Dalston, Hackney. It's our family home. It's very well maintained. TV/broadband/phone, good furniture, superb kitchen, a beautiful all seasons garden (if you're gardener you'll see). Hackney has become one of the best places to live in Inner London (and also has the largest parks). At the moment, this comes without the offer of a car swap (we don't need one - the bus stop is literally outside the door). 2 mins to the park (London Fields) with heated open-air all-season Lido, 20 mins to Bloomsbury (British Museum, West End theatres and galleries) by bike, 30 mins. by bus, about the same (from the door) to the City, Tate Modern and the South Bank (National Theatre, Globe Theatre etc.) More to the point - Hackney is a brilliant place - local knowledge available.

House Description.

Local amenities.
Local markets and delicatessens/artisan bakers are 5 minutes away. Local shops for everyday groceries/newspapers at 1 minute, 2 large supermarkets at 10 minutes. Stratford Westfield shopping centres are 10 minutes by train. A boutique wine shop is just around the corner. Locally there are 2 cinemas (mainstream and art-house) 2 theatres, 2 world-famous music venues (jazz and world music). A plethora of excellent restaurants/cafes and independent galleries. Achingly 'trendy' pub around the corner, quieter one in 5 minutes.
London Fields open-air heated Lido is open all year. Good walks along Regents Canal or in the Olympic Park/Hackney Marshes and good cycling routes to the Lea Valley and to central London.

Transport.
As mentioned, the bus stop is literally outside the door. Direct buses to central London and the City (about 30 minutes). Access to the entire London Overground and Underground system from Dalston Junction. Access to transport to France/Netherlands via London City Airport (20 minutes) and to all other London airports in 40 to 70 minutes. Kings Cross International Eurostar to Europe is 30 minutes away.
