Tweed is a quiet, pretty area, known for beaches, swimming, surfing, boating, fishing, jet skis, bushwalking, rainforests, mountains, whale watching etc and yet only 30 mins from the night-life of Surfers Paradise, and 40 mins to the theme parks. Check out Tweed Shire Council's web site. Nearby Coolangatta has a multitude of restaurants and well known Twin Towns Club, which hosts varied auditorium entertainment at very reasonable prices.
