With a population of 500,000, the Gold Coast has extensive dining, entertainment and cultural venues. There is live theatre and art galleries, boating and sporting opportunities and numerous attractions such as wildlife sanctuaries and, especially for families, theme parks like SeaWorld, WaterWorld, DreamWorld and MovieWorld.. There are libraries, craft fairs and luxury resort hotels open to the public for dining etc.

Australian cuisine has both European tradition and Asian influence - Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, Indonesian, Japanese etc. A vast range of dining opportunities is offered- from elegant to al fresco. Abundant fresh seafood is featured everywhere at reasonable prices. Surf Lifesaving clubs are a feature of the Aussie culture and their position right on the beaches with outdoor dining make an ideal lunch venue for visitors.

The sporting opportunities include world class golf courses, tennis, fishing including deep sea and sport fishing, boat cruising and sailing, diving and snorkelling, thoroughbred horseracing and many others. A wide variety of half and full-day boat cruises is available. Whale watching is at its peak then as they migrate close to the coast from southern oceans to the tropics.

Adjacent to us there are unlimited scenic areas to tour including the beautiful Tweed Valley which is a fertile sugarcane and tropical fruit region surrounded by the mountain ranges formed from a massive extinct volcano. In the centre remains Mount Warning, the top of which receives the first rays of sun to hit the continent of Australia. Hiking to the lookout on the summit is one of our recommended excursions. There are many other adjacent areas to visit including Byron Bay, the Sunshine Coast, the Darling Downs and the Mountain villages and National Parks within 1 hour drive.
