Barcelona city-centre flat

Our flat is a spacious and full of character. It was built in the Modernist period and retains the old-style feel. We are located in a relatively quiet part of the residential Eixample district, right in the centre of Barcelona. We are 10 minutes (on foot) from the Cathederal and the Old City, and just a couple of minutes from the pedestrianised strolling and shopping area around the Palau de la Música (Sant Pere i Santa Caterina). We are also really close to the beautiful Santa Caterina food market.
Our flat is homely and very child-friendly. We also have two very friendly cats and they need cuddling and stroking whilst we are away, although we can arrange for someone to come and feed them and do their litter tray if necessary. We are happy to offer pet care too.
The kitchen and bathroom of our flat are quite old-fashioned as we like the old, shabby chic look, but are clean and functional.
There are two children's bedrooms, a double bedroom and also a double sofa bed and a cot.
The flat is a typical 'long and thin' Eixample design with big windows and balconies at the front overlooking the street (some traffic noise but not too bad-we sleep well there) and a glassed in sitting area at the back overlooking the neighbours' gardens (we have no outdoor space of our own at the back, but it is nice to see trees and greenery of the others!).

Residential area in central Barcelona. Perfect for shopping, sightseeing, walking, restaurants and bars. 10 minutes from city beaches by metro, and 25 minutes by suburban train from beautiful beaches just north of the city. 20 minutes maximum on foot to all major Barcelona must-sees: Ramblas, Cathederal, Arc de Triompf, Sagrada Familia, Born area, Boqueria market...everything
