Renovated medieaval village house

Our house is situated in a tiny and authentic medieaval village 60 kilometres from Nice. The village of Puget rostang is in the pre-alps and is at 700 metres altitude.
It has three floors and two of these will be available for your use.
On the first floor there is large kitchen cum dining room which seats up to 10. It has a wood burner and a gas range and opens onto a large terrace equipped with a barbecue and table and chairs to seat 8-10 .
The snug siitting room is equipped with satelite tv and a sofa bed and can be used as a third bedroom if neccesary. There is a shower room with double wash basins and a seperate toilet
On the second floor there is the master bedroom with a king sized bed- a cot and or single bed can be added. Next to this there is an alcove bedroom with a double sofa bed which can be used as a bedroom or upstairs sitting room.
Recently renovated attic with large double bed and adjoining sitting room.
This is a cottage type house with low ceilings, smallish rooms but with bags of charm and atmosphere.
The view is open and faces south onto the mountains and a large flowered terrasse for eating and relaxing covered with a vine.

About the location

The village is fairly isolated ( population of village and surrounding area approx 100) so very peaceful but only 6 kilometres from the town of Puget Theniers which has every commodity. It is pedestrian and on a rise but our house is situated on the edge so there is easy access and parking.
It has a museum, which organises events in the summer and a small hotel restaurant. A small river runs at the foot of the village and there is a childrens playground and sports area..
There are many walks that start directly here into the mountains.
Puget Theniers also has a swimming pool, open in the summer and a dynamic summer arts festival.
The city of Nice is only one hour away and is linked by a bus service which costs only 3 euros return for those wish to enjoy the beach, shops and restaurants.
The ski resort of Valberg is only 45 minutes away and many other beautiful mountain villages and gorges. The lavender fields are at just over an hours drive as are the famous gorges de verdon.
There is also a station with a rail link on the famous "train des pignes" between Nice and Digne. There are many lovely villages to be discovered on this line.
Close to Valberg ski resort - there are other smaller ones too, Beuil, Robiion, for winter ski and summer mountain biking.
