Our home is a sunny, light-filled bungalow with a sheltered back garden on the edge of an old and beautiful North Devon fishing village and is situated in a quiet residential area with a short walk down to the centre of the village and the quay [a fairly steep walk home however]. We have two bedrooms, each with a bathroom, and so can accommodate four people, but we are also quite happy for an extra travel cot or similar to be used. There is an open plan kitchen with a separate dining room and a lounge/conservatory opening out onto a small south facing terrace. The garden has vegetable plots, fruit and flowers which we are pleased to share with guests.

About the location

North Devon is a relatively unspoilt corner of England. We have long sandy beaches close by, providing the opportunity for water sports such as surfing as well as sailing and fishing. A 500 mile coastal path, with dramatic sea views, passes through the village and continues along the cliffs both north and south with sections suitable for all abilities of walkers. Inland, old villages and cities such as Exeter and Plymouth are within driving distance and we are only around 15 miles from the border with North Cornwall. Local pubs and restaurants provide a varied selection of foods, especially fish and seafood and the village is home to lots of musicians and artists with frequent live music performances and a variety of galleries to visit.
