Logie Park

Our house is a two storey detached villa, built around 1910 and has been our family home for almost 30years.

We live at the end of a quiet cul-de - sac on the edge of the village. Our back garden looks onto open fields.

We have two double bedrooms, one has a standard double bed and the other a kingsize. There is also a small room with a single bed. The house has oil fired central heating but we also have a cosy log burner in the small sitting room and an open fire in the large sitting room.

There is a family bathroom and a separate shower room.

We have a sun porch at the back of the house which opens directly onto the back garden and we often eat here in the summertime. We have both front and rear gardens and are quite secluded from our neighbours.

About the location

Alyth is a large village/ small town in rural Perthshire. There are 2.5 golf courses within a mile of our house and ski-ing in Glenshee is less than an hours drive while Anoch Mhor and the Cairngorms less than three hours.

Scotlands rich and varied history is on our doorstep.

Ancient pictish stones are to be found locally and the small museum collection at Meigle is one of the best in Britain and is only 4 miles away. Castles and palaces are also within easy reach ; Scone Palace is a 20 minute drive , as is Glamis Castle and Stirling Castle is an hour away.
Alyth is a great centre for exploring Scotland, no where is very far away and we have a drier climate than the west of Scotland. We are not golfers or skiers but we love the outdoors.
Walking is a joy here, with routes for all levels from the woodland walk through the Den of Alyth to the more challenging hills in Glen Doll.

This is also a popular area for cycling as there are lots of small quiet roads.
We have two small supermarkets, newsagents and a couple of hotels. Blairgowrie is 5 miles away and has a large supermarket and a few more restaurants.

We live in a rural area, but the city of Dundee is 30 minutes by car and Perth is 35 minutes drive. There is a good bus service to both Perth and Dundee but a car gives more flexibility for further afield. Both have shopping centres, restaurants, theatres and museums. Aberdeen , Edinburgh and Glasgow are all less than 2 hours drive, and can be acessed by train from Dundee or Perth.
