Logie Park
We live at the end of a quiet cul-de - sac on the edge of the village. Our back garden looks onto open fields.
Our house is a two storey villa built around 1910 and has been our family home for nearly 30 years
We have two double bedrooms, one has a standard double bed and the other a kingsize. There is also a small room with a single bed. The house has oil fired central heating and we also have a cosy log burner in the small sitting room and an open fire in the large sitting room.
There is a family bathroom and a separate shower room.
We have a sun porch at the back of the house which opens directly onto the back garden and we often eat here in the summertime. We have both front and rear gardens and are quite secluded from our neighbours.
About the location
Alyth is a large village / small town in rural Perthshire.
It is a great place to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.
Stroll in the Den , stride up Alyth Hill or hike in the Angus glens.
If you prefer cycling there are lots of quiet minor roads and our bikes will be in the shed.
There are 2.5 golf courses within a mile of our house if that`s more your thing.
Winter ski-ing in Glenshee is less than an hours drive while Anoch Mhor and the Cairngorms less than three hours.
Alyth is a great centre for exploring Scotland, no where is very far away and we have a drier climate than the west of Scotland.
Walking is a joy here, with routes for all levels from the woodland walk through the Den of Alyth to the more challenging hills in Glen Doll.
Visit Arbroath ( home of the tasty smokie) or Montrose and the stunning beach at Lunan Bay.
Or go south to St Andrews and a little further to the picturesque fishing villages of the Pittenweem and Crail in the East Neuk of Fife.
We have two small supermarkets, newsagents and a couple of hotels. Blairgowrie is 5 miles away and has a large supermarket and a few more restaurants.
We live in a rural area, but the city of Dundee is 30 minutes by car and Perth is 35 minutes drive. There is a good bus service to both Perth and Dundee but a car gives more flexibility for further afield. Both have shopping centres, restaurants, theatres and museums. Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow are all less than 2 hours drive, and can be acessed by train from Dundee or Perth.
