This is our 8th year in southern France, having moved here from Sydney in order to give our 2 young children a bilingual education. Our 3 hectare property has one enormous house and a lovely restored cottage on the grounds. The cottage, La Porche, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen, living room & scullery with washing machine. It has its own private pool plus a wonderful terrace with idyllic views over the valley to the nearby village of Breau, 10 minutes walk away. The river on its southern border comes complete with bathing area and public picnic facilities. It is a tranquil and restorative location for walkers, cyclists and families with active children.

About the location

The Cevennes is a UNESCO protected area known for its wild & romantic landscapes, large rivers & gorges, chestnut forests, & excellent produce markets. Our property is equidistant between the Roman city of Nîmes & the vibrant university city of Montpellier.
