House within walking distance from Stonehenge

Our house is a comfortable modern townhouse on three floors in the centre of Amesbury. It is built on thei site of an old school built 300 years ago. It is 7 years old and has all modern conveniences. There is a well equipped kitchen, dining room with French doors and toilet on the ground floor. There are two double bedrooms and bathroom with shower on the second floor and a large lounge on the top floor. The lounge can be used as a third bedroom at night with a camping mattress.
The house is bright , quiet and surrounded by trees and yet I a good Central position.

About the location

Amesbury is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Europe with claims going back some 10,000 years. There is local archaeology available including Stonehenge and Avebury circle which is quite close by to. Isit by car.

Amesbury is close to Salisbury plain and there are good public transport links to the beautiful city of Salisbury with wonderful cathedral and many other interesting buildings. Salisbury is well served for shops and restaurants . There is a railway station in Salisbury.

Outside of the house a bus stops 3 times and day and returns three times a day to and from London.. National Express provides a comfortable two and a half hour journey into Victoria coach station. From here it is possible to walk to the palace, London parks, Trafalgar Square and to visit galleries and museums.
