Lovely 1br apartment in brownstone Brooklyn

I live in a warm, inviting space with hardwood floors and high ceilings. It is a great one-bedroom apartment on the parlor-level floor of a brownstone in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. I love it! It has 3 large rooms - a large living room in the front, bedroom in the middle, and a large eat-in kitchen overlooking a small yard in the back. The bedroom has a full-sized bed with a Tempur-Pedic mattress, and there is a pull-out couch in the living room. This is where I live, so exchanges would need to either be simultaneous or take place when I am traveling elsewhere. I have 2 cats who will need care while you are here, and I m happy to care for your pets and plants in return. Children are welcome, but there are lots of breakable things here, so it is probably not the best place children young, active children.

About the location

I live in Stuyvesant Heights – a vibrant, friendly, diverse neighborhood of historic brownstones. My building is on a residential block, so it much quieter at night than you might imagine, but you can still find many kinds of bars and restaurants (such as Peaches, voted the best bar-be-que in the city, Saraghina, a hip local Italian spot that draws diners from around the city), cozy coffee shops, wine shops, parks and playgrounds within a short walking distance. The nearest subway stations (For the A and C trains), as well as multiple bus lines and Citibike stations, are just a 5-minute walk away. One of my favorite places, the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), is a 15-minute ride away on the subway. You can also take a longer walk or a short cab ride and visit the Brooklyn Museum , with the beautiful Brooklyn Botanical Gardens next door. Prospect Park is the largest Park in Brooklyn, which has many trails for walking and biking, large meadows and picnic areas, any family-friendly activities, including the Prospect Park Zoo. In lower Manhattan, where you can visit Battery Park, Wall Street, and the 9/11 Museum. I highly recommend a walk over the Brooklyn Bridge into lower Manhattan; otherwise, it is about 20 minutes by subway to get there. It is about 45 minutes to Central Manhattan (the Empire State building, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and the south end of Central Park).
