Spanish village house in a typical Andalucian 'white village' with fantastic views of the mountains.

The property is set in a peaceful location in one of Torrox's winding, narrow streets. Car access to the property is not advisable but there is parking 5 minutes away. There is a regular bus service to Torrox Costa for those choosing not to hire a car. The property is 5 minutes walk to the lively square, the heart of the village with restaurants, bars, shops, and banks. Our traditionally furnished house is on 4 floors and the roof terrace offers fantastic views over the village and towards the mountains.

The house is a spacious 1 bedroom traditional village townhouse , which can sleep up to 3 people. The house has a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar opening out to the dining room area seated for 4. On the first floor there is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, a bathroom with shower cubicle, and a separate study area with seating. The stairs to the 2nd floor lead to a spacious living room. The lounge has a 2 seater sofa and 2 armchairs, Digital TV, DVD, CD player, coffee table plus plenty of CDs including a DVD of the surrounding areas and places to visit. There is a further flight of stairs leading up to a utility area and a large roof terrace with fantastic panoramic views over the village and mountains, perfect for lazing around in the sun. If you want to indulge in Spanish culture and be near a bustling town then this is a great place to spend some time and is ideal for those wishing to experience the real Spain.

Accessibility
The property is not suitable for wheelchair users and neither is the access to the property due to the narrow cobbled streets. The house may not be suitable for young children, elderly or infirm due to the three levels and traditional marble stairs inside. (36 steps in total from ground floor to terrace)

About the location

The beautiful Costa Tropical is a short drive away as is the more popular Costa del Sol. Mountain walking is close to hand as is a range of interesting Andalucian White Villages, such as Frigiliana, and the beautiful resort of Nerja. The historic and impressive city of Granada is an hour away.

Coast/Beach
The nearest sandy beach is Torrox Costa which is approximately 4km away. There are 2 promenades lined with bars, cafés and restaurants. The beach has sunbed hire and shower facilities. Alternatively just another 4km away is the busy town of Nerja with plenty of sandy beaches to choose from.

Golf
The nearest golf course is Baviera Golf in nearby Caleta de Velez, approx 15 minutes drive. 18 hole, par 72, it is a challenge for all levels of play, from beginners and experts to even professionals. Rental of clubs, trolley and buggy is available. Facilities include a proshop, fitness room, sauna, bar and restaurant.

Skiing
The nearest ski resort is Sierra Nevada in Granada and is less than a 2 hour drive by car. Ski hire equipment and clothing is available. A ski pass will need to be purchased.

There are guided walking tours around Torrox Pueblo which follow the plaques on the walls depicting the history and lifestyle of the village.

Distances and local transport
A regular bus service operates from the village to the coast at Torrox Costa , Nerja and Frigiliana, a village famous for its sweet white wine. Heading further inland visit the famous village of Competa to taste the muscatel wines. There is a bus (35 mins) to the capital Málaga crammed with tapas bars, bodegas, famous museums and architecture, a beach and a working port. Further afield you can marvel at the wonders of Granada's Alhambra Palace (1 hour away) or visit Gibraltar (2 hours).
