Wooden house full of character, set in the small but vibrant town of Mareeba. The house is a maze of rooms. A large central living room open kitchen with an awesome 6 burner stove, that links onto the deck to enjoy the beautiful climate guaranteed here.

The garden is large and has a tree house in the mango tree, a flying fox and slippery pole for the kids and plenty of space to relax in, listening to tropical birds.

The house has 5 bedrooms, one has bunk beds and lots of toys for young children, the other rooms have single beds and a double room with ensuite, (shower). i Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef, and the tourist beach towns of Port Douglas and Palm Cove, an hour west you can experience the outback and fascinating caves of Chilligoe and Innot hot springs.

About the location

Mareeba boosts 300 days of sunshine an year. Set on the Atherton Tablelands, just 40 minutes from the home are beautiful rainforest waterfalls, crater lakes and rolling hills growing tea.
Cairns which is the main town one hour from here there are trips to The Great Barrier Reef daily, beaches, shopping.
Kuranda is just half an hour away, with many attractions for the visitor to experience the rainforest.
Mareeba is famous for coffee and tropical fruit and is surrounded by farm land. It is famous for its rodeo, The Great Wheelbarrow Race.
Palm Cove and Port Douglas are also close for shopping and beach lazing.
For the adventurous there is a drive 2 hours west to the town of Chilligoe and amazing limestone caves, and try your hand at gold panning.
