SKARINOU IS THE PERFECT LOCATION TO RELAX, UNWIND AND ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY.

Our accommodation comprises a large, airy living room, large family kitchen with eating area, a dining room and the sleeping accommodation available is one twin/ double and a double with en-suite facilities. There is a single bedroom, currently used as a study which could be made available. There is a Z-bed that could accommodate an extra guest. The main bathroom has an over the bath shower. Air conditioning and heating available in all rooms. Outside there are paved terraces with shady pergolas and tables for al fresco meals. There is a dedicated BBQ area. We have a large garden with mature trees and indigenous planting. A variety of herbs in pots plus a profusion of rosemary. Scented Jasmine, lavender add to the ambience. There is a large orchard with a variety of citrus and fruit trees and a grapevine. Much of the garden is paved and divided into smaller areas of interest. One area is dedicated to sun bathing with beds and an umbrella for shade. There is a single wide step to the front porch. Should wheel chair access be required, a ramp could be arranged. The interior of the house is flat and doors would allow for regular sized wheelchairs. There is lots of room for parking. A hire car would be necessary to explore the area and enjoy the local beaches, tavernas, historic sites and to explore the mountain villages which hold festivals throughout the year.

About the location

The area is extremely popular due to it's central location which provides easy access to major towns of Larnaca and Limassol(Lemesos) the city of Nicosia(Lefkosia) All reached within 30 minutes.Larnaca Airport is a 20/25 minute ride away. It would be the preferred choice of airport. The World Heritage Neolithic settlement of Khirokotia is 10 minutes away. Local beaches are 15/20 minutes drive away. Governor's beach and Ayios Georgios Alamanos have all facilities. The fish at the latter we can recommend. There are buses but they are few and far between. The main bus station for the area is at the next village; Kofinou. From here you can get a bus to all main towns; Larnaka, Limassol and the capital, Nicosia.
In KOFINOU there is a fire station, a police station and a health centre. Should you need medical attention-the health centre will meet your needs. You will need an EHIC card.
The village of SKARINOU has a large, modern supermarket selling Cypriot and UK products. There are tavernas providing Cypriot food. Nearby, towards Kofinou is a Greek taverna which hosts Greek nights and special Greek events. For the children and animal lovers there's a nearby donkey sanctuary in Skarinou. The village of Lefkara is nearby; famous for its handmade lace, linen and silverware. Numerous coastal and rural villages are nearby; each with its own history, annual events and family run tavernas. Retro taverna in the nearby village of Kalavassos provides traditional food and is worth a visit.
