1863 Terraced Cottage close to Avebury Circle and Manor and in outstanding countryside

Meux Cottage is a small house originally built by the Ridley-Meux brewery company. It sits in the middle of a terrace of three cottages in this small village of only 12 houses. With two good sized double bedrooms and a small single it is ideally situated in the countryside but close enough to transport links for London, Bath, Bristol and the rest of UK. Within a couple of miles of the historic Avebury Stones and Manor and close also to Laycock Abbey - two outstanding National Trust venues!! We have a small quiet garden, are pet friendly and have a car by negotiation. There is also a classic car in the garage which could possibly be loaned!!

About the location

Berwick Bassett is situated on the Ridgeway. An area of outstanding natural beauty. Close to the historic towns of Marlborough and Devizes and a 15 minute train journey to Bath. In terms of country side there is Savernake Forest close by, walks across the ridgeway and round the surrounding areas. Moments from the Barbary Castle point-to-point and from your doorstep you are immediately into areas for wonderful morning walks.
