A classic, comfortable home near Disneyland

An old beautiful home that we've put our hearts into fixing up into its previous glory. The neighbors are quiet, and friendly, (and would probably prefer reciprocation of those sentiments) and the location is ideal. The house itself can feel like a refuge from the city and traffic while still keeping you at the heart of Southern California. It's compact at 1000 square feet, but remodeled with an open style.
The front yard has a cottage feel, filled with California native plants that are on a drip system and won't need extra care. The backyard is big (around 3000 square feet) but with the current drought, we've left it unlandscaped. On the good side of that coin, the weather has been consistently dry and warm, even through winter, with our back porch and BBQ being a wonderful place for evening meals. The skate board ramp is for our personal use so for liability reasons, it will be completely off limits. All books can be perused as long as they stay with the house (even you really really want to finish it and you're so close!) We have 3 kids, so although it's no longer baby proofed, the house is very fun for kids, especially our home crafted bunk bed. We're a laid back family so if something does break, it's not the end of the world, but being devout Mormons, we don't allow drugs or alcohol on the premises. We're excited to exchange homes!

About the location

You are literally 5 minutes from Disneyland, 20 minutes from the beach, an hour from Hollywood, 2 hours from San Diego and 4 hours from Vegas. Or, if you have the patience to escape LA, you're a couple of hours away from one of the most beautiful coastal drives in the world, Hwy 1. Within Orange County, if you're more of a local traveler, there are lots of less known gems, while being near enough to downtown LA to enjoy the nightlife there. Our reliable car is a minivan, which will feel anything but luxurious, but which you are welcome to use within Orange and LA county as long as car seats and common sense are used. Also, great apps are available for reliable and safe public transport, like Uber, if you don't want to be driving. Along the beaches there are great places to rent and ride bikes, kayaks, boats or what-have-you, so enjoy, and if you're a bit on the cheap side, or haven't 'done' the theme parks here, we'll be full of well used tips.
