Nelson is a seaside city with lots of walks and mountain bike tracks. There is the Abel Tasman national park close by which has a lot of different walks which vary in length and has some of the most beautiful scenery and wildlife such as seals and penguins. It's a short drive to the beautiful Kaiteriteri beach which offers a sandy golden beach and clear blue ocean, with numerous activities for all including paddle boarding, kayaking, a water taxi, accommodation, children's area and restaurant's. Within a 5 minute drive is Tahunanui beach, featuring cafes, children's playground, public BBQ's/picnic area, waterpark, gokarts, wildlife sanctuary, mini golf & rollerskate rink. The sunniest part of New Zealand is a great vacation spot.
