About the location

Just above the exquisite fishing harbour of Mousehole and near the romantic artistic Lamorna Valley. The Old Dairy is situated in a small cluster of traditional cornish granite houses, with surrounding farmland and overlooking the sea. We enjoy fabulous views over Mounts Bay. There are wonderful coastal walks from the house. The best beaches in Cornwall within 20 minute drive. (Gwenvir,Sennen, Porthcurno and Pednvounder). The Minack theatre above Porthcurno is a spectacular outdoor theatre built into the cliffside and has shows throughout the summer, also The Acorn Theatre in Penzance has a programme of music and drama. 10 mins drive to Newlyn with its unique food shops and best ice cream in Cornwall (Jelberts)and the interesting bohemian town of Penzance, both have really good contemporary and traditional art galleries. 25 mins drive to St Ives, famous for surfing beaches, Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Gallery etc and a great Jazz club on Tuesday nights. Plenty of galleries, gardens, great restaurants, pubs, (try the crab soup at The Red Lion in Newlyn!), beaches, moors, lush valleys, beautiful Cornish Gardens, prehistoric stone circles, interesting old churches abound in the area of West Penwith.
