Knights Farm

We live in an ancient farmhouse located on the East Devon/ Dorset/ Somerset borders. We are lucky to located at the end of a small lane and surrounded by 38 acres of our own land and therefore undisturbed by traffic. We have a small holiday cottage near the house which is currently rented out on a long term basis. Our house is essentially a Devon long house with 3 double bedrooms and two single. Downstairs we have two large reception rooms with fireplaces and another room currently used as an office / sitting room, again with fire. Our kitchen is kept warm by an oil fired rayburn (similar to Aga) cooker which we use for all our oven cooking. We also have an electric hob and all the usual appliances. We have an additional play room for the children which , when tidied, acts as additional sleeping area with a pull out sofa bed. The house has oil fired central heating. We have a new digital T.V and wifi.

About the location

We are in the small village of Allsaints, 1.5 miles from the market town of Axminster with usual amenities and train station with hourly departures to London, Waterloo (2hrs 45 mins) and Exeter (25 mins). We are lucky to live in a beautiful area, so called the jurassic coast and are a 15 minute drive to Lyme Regis, a lovely seaside town with a sandy beaches fantastic for children, shops and selection of good restaurants and cafes. Being a tourist area there are plenty of attractions for children and adults alike, not to mention miles of coast and inland footpaths to walk.
We are Andy and Anna, a builder and English as a foreign language teacher with our two children aged 4 and 3.
