The real Italy - The Lunigiana in Northern Tuscany

Our lovely holiday home nestles in the foothills of the Apennine mountains in the Lunigiana. Lovely terrace and views. Good restaurants, bars, shops, swimming pool, tennis club etc are within 15/20 minutes drive. A place to relax, gather your thoughts, recharge your battery immersed in the verdant environment and birdsong.

Gas fired central heating throughout with open fire in ground floor sitting room.

Ground floor: Kitchen with modern appliances. Sitting room. Two double bedrooms. Bathroom. Terrace accessible from sitting room and master bedroom.

First floor: Large twin bedroom, a further sitting room, and a shower/WC.

Laundry and cellar with outdoor equipment. We have good WiFi reception too!
(The property may not be suitable for small children as it has an elevated terrace).

Walking, scrambling, horse riding and cycling are available.

A car is required to access the village. Parking is at the village car park, just below our house. Spaces are almost always available, but there is a large overflow car park near the village church.

About the location

The house is located in a village near Pontremoli in the Lunigiana valley, a 75min drive north of Pisa. Excellent rail services are available to Lucca, Genova, Parma and Pisa and the A15 autostrada runs up the valley providing convenient access to the Po valley and beyond.

Although located in Tuscany, the Lunigiana has more in common with Liguria but has a character all of it`s own. The seaside villages of the Cinque Terre (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the beautiful resorts of Lerici and Portovenere are about 50mins drive away.

A great place to relax, enjoy walking in the mountains, crash out on the beach or just sit on our spacious terrace and gaze at the landscape. For those interested in the regional cuisine, there are various local restaurants offering excellent food at reasonable prices.
