Our home for 35 years is this beautifully treed acreage at the end of a cul de sac. Japanese garden in front, huge wrap around deck on two levels with a hot tub and extensive flower garden at back.
Our house features a recently renovated kitchen, with a living area for three or four on the main floor. The basement is fully finished with two large bedrooms. A state of the art heat pump heats the house in winter and cools it in the summer.
Pacific West Coast weather in spring, summer and autumn is sunny and warm, tempered by breezes off the ocean, which is a three minute drive away. Whale watching, salmon fishing and sailing lure international visitors. Golf courses and wineries are at our doorstep. Neighbours respect privacy but are friendly and supportive.
About the location
The claim that one can fish in the morning, ski in the afternoon and sail in the evening is virtually true. Or one can simply 'be' on Vancouver Island with our warm maritime climate. Cool Pacific Ocean breezes moderate the summer sunshine. It rarely snows during the winter but rain does occur. Nevertheless golf courses are open all year. Nature is all around us: walks under the canopy of our temperate rain forests, warm/ sandy beaches and rushing rivers are within walking distance. Go whale watching, cycle the smooth gradient along the Trans- Canada Trail
