Lovely 2 Bed home in Medina, USA

Our property is a two bedroom second story apartment with private entrance in a rural area of Western New York State. The apartment has all the amenities one would expect including a sofa that converts to a queen size bed allowing the apartment to sleep six comfortably. The property is quiet and tranquil and it is not unusual to see wildlife such as deer, rabbits or woodchuck in the large well-kept yard, while enjoying your coffee on the deck. An aboveground pool is available for your enjoyment as well. Restaurants and stores can be found in either Medina (8 miles) or Albion (12 miles). The apartment is available year round for rental (week min) or exchange either simultaneous or not (we are open to travel almost anywhere).

Medina is well situated for seeing many natural wonders/interesting sights during reasonable day trips; sorry NYC is seven hours away. We are located minutes from the Great Lake Ontario, adjacent to a river that hosts canoeing, tubing and rafting each summer, horseback riding is available in the area and the autumn foliage is exquisite. Niagara Falls is an hour away as is the Great Lake Erie, Buffalo, Rochester, wine trails, horse racing and casinos. Toronto, Ontario, Canada is approximately 2? hours travel, remember your passport if you plan to visit there. Also about an hour away is Letchworth State Park, renowned as the "Grand Canyon of the East," it is one of the most scenically magnificent areas in the eastern U.S. The Genesee River roars through the gorge over three major waterfalls between cliffs as high as 600 feet in some places surrounded by lush forests. Hikers can choose among 66 miles of hiking trails. Trails are also available for horseback riding, biking, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Letchworth offers nature, history and performing arts programs, guided walks, tours, a summer lecture series, whitewater rafting, kayaking, a pool for swimming and hot air ballooning.

Additional sightseeing attractions include Art Park which hosts numerous live theater events outdoors May through August, Darien Lake Theme and Water Park which also hosts numerous concerts each summer, Seabreeze Amusement Park, Martin?s Fantasy Island Amusement Park, Niagara Wine Trail, Finger Lakes Wine Trails, Erie Canal for hiking, boating, and fishing, the only road under the Erie Canal as seen in Ripley?s Believe It or Not, Erie Canal Locks in Lockport, NY as well as the Lockport Caves. There are numerous historical sites including Old Fort Niagara. Don?t forget to stop by the Anchor Bar the originator of ?Buffalo Wings?, and Rochester?s Strong National Museum of Play or any of the other fine museums in the area. Professional sports in the area include the NFL Buffalo Bills, AAA baseball Buffalo Bisons (farm club of the Toronto Blue Jays), NHL Buffalo Sabres, as well as pro soccer and lacrosse. Numerous farm markets abound in the area and we have an active Amish Community offering many handmade wares. The Medina Railroad Museum has year round displays and seasonally hosts "Thomas the Train" and "The Polar Express" train rides.
