Otherwise known as the Ancient Isle of Avalon, Glastonbury is steeped in history, myth and legend, reputed to be burial place of King Arthur and his Queen Guinevere and the site of the very first Christian Church. A truly mystical, magical place with lots to do and see including some of the very best "people watching" to be found anywhere in the world, especially when the Faery Ball is in town. There are a variety of healing treatments and yoga classes on offer and as you would expect from the town that hosts one of the world's largest music festivals, there is a variety of live music performances to suit all tastes.
Six miles down the road is the ancient City of Wells which boasts an outstanding cathedral, dating back to the 11th century. With its cobbled streets, excellent market and the Bishop's Palace, complete with moat and swans, this is a real jewel on the itinerary of any visitor to the UK. There are also a number of first class cafes and restaurants in this tiny city.

Glastonbury is surrounded by beautiful countryside, perfect for many outdoor pursuits and there are numerous historical sites and places of interest to visit in and around the area. For example, Stonehenge is only an hour's drive away. London is also easily accessible and there is a daily bus service that leaves from the town centre.
