A 250 year old cottage house with garden in Mortlake, London. Full of antiques and vintage furniture. Perfect relaxing choice for a London holiday - trains for Waterloo leave every 15 minutes from a stone's throw from the house.

The house has a lounge, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, large dressing room, bathroom and garden. The garden is small but very cute.

Having one double bedroom the house is perfect for a couple. The sofa in the lounge is a double sofa-bed though, so four people could be accommodated.

About the location

East Sheen/Mortlake is a peaceful riverside area of London - full of elegant 18th and 19th century houses and the River Thames runs through it. Famously the Oxford and Cambridge boat race ends in Mortlake/East Sheen. It has all facilities required - numerous restaurants, wine bars, pubs with beautiful beer gardens and numerous little independent cafes.

It's perfect for a short day's shopping - being full of little antique, charity, clothing and interiors shops. Absolutely everything is on your doorstep.

If you want to venture a few minutes further afield, Richmond Upon Thames, London's most attractive borough, is a short bus ride away - one stop down on the train. As is Kew with its famous Kew Gardens. Hampton Court Palace is also a short bus ride away and several large National Trust properties. Richmond has lots of boat hires so you can picnic on the Thames, stopping off at pubs for ciders and wines as you go.

If you fancy a busy nightlife, Putney is also a neighbouring town and is popular with 20s/30s crowds looking for food, cocktails and dancing.
