Our house is just over a mile from Winchester City centre, and 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Hampshire countryside. Originally an unmodernised 1950's house, Dan Brill Architects redesigned it into a modern and light filled house, which won a RIBA Downland award in 2012 and the Winchester City Trust Award in 2013. The house featured in Grand Designs magazine and The Architectural Review and has a large open double height living space with a log burning stove and a long glass roofed single storey corridor leading to the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 ensuite and a family bathroom. There is an upstairs snug filled with books, games and a PS3. It is a lovely space to live in and is very family friendly. Outside is a terrace and garden with a trampoline, swing and weber barbecue. It is a great place to relax in, whether there are just 2 of you, or a big family or group.

There is lots to do locally, from country walks from the doorstep (there is a lovely pub 2 miles away that you can walk through the countryside to) to all the attractions of the delightful city of Winchester. These include the cathedral, theatre, cinema, shopping, numerous cafés, pubs and restaurants. Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park and the Winchester Science Centre are a short drive away. The New Forest and Coast and are easily accessible by car.
