Lovely 3 Bed home in Pittenweem, Scotland

Our holiday home is a charming traditional fishermans cottage in the beautiful village of Pittenweem in the East Neuk of Fife. Simple and tastefully furnished. Downstairs we have a small kitchen with breakfast bar, dining room with seating for 6 and a comfortable living room. The kitchen gives access to a small courtyard with seating and stone steps leading to a larger garden with more seating. Upstairs we have a double bedroom, twin bedroom and smaller bedroom with a cot and bunk beds. We have one bathroom with over bath shower. The double bedroom has a door onto the upper garden.

Our cottage is child friendly with lots of toys and books and is about a minute walk from a small beach.

Pittenweem is 1 hour from Edinburgh and 20 mins from St Andrews. It is a quaint, picturesque fishing village with working harbour, small beach and sea pool. We have a village store, pharmacy, post office, baker, butcher and 3 local pubs serving food. Well known as an artistic community, Pittenweem hosts the annual Pittenweem Arts Festival and has a number of small galleries selling local artwork.

A car would be helpful but not essential as there is a good local bus service linking Pittenweem with Edinburgh and St Andrews.

The surrounding villages of Elie, St Monans, Anstruther and Crail make up the "East Neuk of Fife" and are all linked by the Fife Coastal Path making this an excellent location for walkers. There are numerous golf courses in the area and the beautiful university town of St Andrews, with its castle and cathedral, offers world class golfing in wonderful surroundings as well an excellent choice of restaurants.
