Our house is situated in Wokingham, a beautiful historic market town in the royal county of Berkshire, Wokingham has a population of approximately 35,000 and is located approximately 50 km west of London. Wokingham was recently (2012) identified as the best place to live in the UK. The town centre has numerous pubs, restaurants, and cafes, and plenty of shops including a number of independent retailers, a large supermarket (Waitrose), chemists (Boots), a small Marks and Spencer.

Wokingham is ideally located as a base for exploring the UK and Europe. Wokingham is positioned to take full advantage of the UK motorway network e.g. M4, M40, M5, M3 and M25.
Wokingham is within easy travelling distance of key airports, Heathrow (25 minutes) and Gatwick (75 minutes) as well as a number of regional airports like Southampton (45 minutes) and Bournemouth (90 minutes), There are a number of low cost airlines operating from these airports making travel to all parts of Europe and North Africa easy and cost effective.

Closer to home, Wokingham is located in the heart of historic England, and the beautiful Thames Valley. Within 100km radius you visit Windsor and it's Great Park, Runnymede, Ascot, Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Winchester, Southampton. Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford on Avon are a 45 minute drive away. Bath and Bristol are about 90 minutes away and the West Country, Sussex, Dorset and the south coast are easily accessible either by car or train.
Reading (10 minutes by train) is a major railway hub and gives great access to all parts of the UK. London (Waterloo) is an hour's train journey from Wokingham mainline train station with trains every half hour.

Our house has three bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, with an open plan living and dining room. South facing sheltered garden with large patio. The house is located in a very quiet no through road close to the town centre. 7 minutes walk to the centre of the town and 5 minutes to the mainline train station.

The house is newly renovated throughout with a modern fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower and bath. Two double bedrooms (one with queen sized bed the other with a double), both with flat screen TVs. The third bedroom is a single. All three have large built in wardrobes. Large airy open plan living dining room with double doors leading to the patio. 42 inch flat screen TV with Sky TV channels (Foxtel). The kitchen has fitted fridge/freezer, gas hob, double fan assisted electric oven with eye level grill. Dishwasher, microwave, washer dryer and flat screen TV. There is also a small table and chairs. The garden comprises lawn and patio (easy maintenance). The patio has a gas BBQ, space heater and table and six chairs.
