Lovely villa between the Jura and Geneva

Pretty villa in a rural village on the foothills of the Jura mountains in France. The villa is located on a large plot with trees and hedges providing full privacy, and an automatic gate and parking for up to 3 cars. On the ground floor of the house are the living room, the kitchen/dining room, an office, a toilet/shower and a garage. The cosy living room has an effective fireplace can heat the whole house in the winter. The ground floor and the two south-facing bed rooms are equipped with heat pumps for heating in the winter and cooling in the summer. In addition, all rooms are equipped with electric heaters. The large kitchen is fully equipped (ceramic cooker, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and additional equipment e.g. steam cooker, Philips Airfryer, rice cooker, etc) and has a large dining table that can seat 6 to 8 people. On the first floor are the master bedroom with its own bathroom, and two bedrooms with each a double bed and baby cot, and a general bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Above the garage is a second office with a large sofa bed that can sleep 2 people.

About the location

Just outside the village, 500 m from the house, is a beautiful rural area with many opportunities for walking, cycling and touring. By car, you are within 20 minutes on the top of the Jura with spectacular views over Lake Leman, many km of hiking trails and ski slopes in the winter. In the opposite direction, it takes only 15 minutes by public transport to reach Geneva and its lake in Switzerland, and from there it is only a short distance towards the Alps. In the village there are a bakery, a pharmacy and a few restaurants. There is a huge Carrefour supermarket at 700 m from the house.
