Lovely 4 Bed home in Bampton, England

The house is a very unusual period property, built in 1922 in a medieaval village in the Exe valley in Mid Devon. The house is on three floors and has four bedrooms and an attic room. The living room is built round a central chimney with a lovely wood burning stove. We live right in the middle of the village, within walking distance of all the amenities. The village has restaurants, pubs, a bakery, butchers and greengrocers all with locally grown produce.
Bampton is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, and the original motte of the motte and bailey castle is still visible at the centre of the village. Bampton was granted a charter fair by William the Conquerer that has been held every year for 750 years. It is surrounded by beautiful hills and many of the houses date from the 14th Century. There are fishing rivers, horse riding, walks on nearby Exmoor and Dartmoor, stately homes, golf courses and beaches both North and South only 40 minutes drive away. And an hour away in Cornwall there is the amazing Eden Project.
