Park Lea - Greater Manchester

Our home is in leafy Monton village to the west of Manchester. It dates from 1920 and is full of character - stained glass, wood floors, moulded ceilings. We`ve converted the loft and extended the kitchen so now have 4/5 bedrooms, 3 reception rooms, 3 bathrooms, and a gorgeous light kitchen. We have a large and lush garden with fruit/veg, a pond and a currently uninhabited chicken run. Our neighbours are all very friendly.

We have a 12 year old daughter so have lots of toys and games.

About the location

Just down the road are a number of vibrant bars, cafes and restaurants in popular Monton Village. There are lots of nice walks and bike rides from the doorstep through Worsley Woods and along the Bridgewater Canal - the oldest in the UK. We are 10 minutes from the amenities of the Trafford Centre and 15 minutes from the museums, galleries, shops and sports facilities of Salford Quays, and Central Manchester. Whether you`ve been missing retail therapy, theatre, footie or cricket we have them all on the doorstep. The new RHS Garden Bridgewater is also 3 miles up the canal. The Peak District, the Lake District and North Wales are all within an hour`s drive. Liverpool, Chester, Blackpool and Sheffield are all in range for day trips. There are a plethora a National Trust properties in the vicinity, along with Chester Zoo , Knowsley Safari Park and Gulliver`s World.
