Lovely 3 Bed home in Buntingford, England

We are situated a 1 hour drive north from Heathrow, and half an hour from Stansted airports.

We have a modern 3 bedroom bungalow with a cottage garden in a typical Hertfordshire village called Aspenden with a village cricket green, village church and a pub with restaurant 100 yds from the property. Although a small village it is a fifteen minute walk to the small market town of Buntingford with numerous small shops, cafe's restaurants, supermarkets and a bank.

There are several golf clubs nearby plus the top class Hanbury Manor course in Ware a ten minute drive away. The next village, Westmill is a 20 minute walk away which also has a Gastro pub.

We are situated midway between London and the beautiful university city of Cambridge which is 20 miles north or half an hour in car (use park and ride as parking can be difficult). Cambridge has beautiful colleges and museums to explore and you must take a leisurely punt along the river Cam and see the colleges from the river. There is also a large market in the main square with an eclectic mix of interesting stalls plus a modern shopping centre with cafes, restaurants etc. London is 35 miles south and is best reached by driving to either Royston, Stevenage or Hertford (half an hour) and getting a train direct into Kings Cross which takes approx 40mins. London is full of history and sightseeing which only a guide book can describe and you must get tickets for the best shows in the world.

The property has classic but modern furnishings with wooden/tile floors throughout general living areas and carpets to bedrooms. There are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed with extensive wardrobes and an en-suite shower room with double basins, large shower and WC. The other double bedroom has a standard double bed with a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. The third bedroom has a single bed with a double pine wardrobe. The main bathroom has a bath with separate shower, basin and WC.

There is a large modern kitchen with built in oven and microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. As my wife is an avid baker, there are plenty of trays, tins and implements and cookbooks for your use should you get the urge to bake during your stay. There is an oval table at one end with seating for four people. There is a back door with access to garden. The garden to the rear has a large seating area for six people and a small gas barbeque. The living room is L shaped with four and three seater settees and a single leather recliner. It has a 42 inch plasma TV built into the chimney breast with satellite TV and a Bose DVD sound system. There is a large bookcase with numerous books to cater for various reading tastes and reference books. The separate dining room has seating for six people. From the dining room there is access to the garage which houses a tumble drier.
