Snape Clock House

Our home is a sunny Edwardian Coach House with a chiming clock on the roof.

It is situated in an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" with a listed wildflower meadow. We have wonderful birdlife in our large garden, and a beautiful long view down to the coast some 20 miles away.

We have three double bedrooms. Two with twin beds, one with a large double bed. All of them enjoy the views over the surrounding countryside.

Our farmhouse style kitchen has an Aga cooker, which warms the whole house in winter, together with a log burner, an open fire and central heating. In summer there is an electric cooker and microwave oven.

The staircase to the upper floor is quite steep, so probably not great if you find stairs tricky.

We have a small female cat, who would usually stay here in our absence, but it could be possible to send her away if that is a problem to exchangers.

Our housekeeper and gardener continue working here when we are away.

About the location

Our village has good shops and regular farmers' markets, and it is a centre of many activities and clubs. There are good golf courses nearby. River and reservoir fishing possible.

We have a plethora of National Trust houses and gardens within a short distance, and Royal Tunbridge Wells is just 15 minutes away. It is a one hour journey by local train to London, or the other way to the South Coast. There are some buses, but a car allows much more exploring, and we are happy to leave a car here for your use.
