Our beachfront home is situated in Savusavu on Fiji's second largest island: Vanua Levu. Just 5 kms from the little town, this tropical beachfront location is stunning. The house has an open-plan kitchen and lounge area and one en-suite bedroom. If you want a big, luxurious house this won't suit you. If you want a small, comfortable holiday home in a glorious, tropical location and are prepared to accept that things don't always work like they do in the developed world, this will suit you very well. We have ceiling fans and air/con units. There is a washing machine - no dryer. Internet is available if you bring/buy a dongle and SIM card.

The garden (4/5ths of an acre) is looked after by our gardener who comes once a week. He'll open a coconut for you and you can pick bananas and papayas straight off the trees when they're ripe.
The water in our bay is too shallow for swimming because of the reef, so we use our kayaks instead. But there are plenty of other swimming and snorkeling spots within easy reach. Deep Sea fishing is possible and scuba diving in Fiji is excellent. You can arrange these activities locally. Savusavu has a low-key tourist industry and boasts a small selection of cafes and restaurants. There is a fruit, veg and fresh fish market and several small supermarkets.
