North Overgate home swap

We live in the historic and picturesque fishing village of Kinghorn on the East coast of Scotland halfway between Edinburgh and St. Andrews, both of which are a 35 minute train journey away.

The house is over 250 yrs old, stone walled with three bedrooms, kitchen, livingroom, bathroom. The living room has a fireplace either end with a wood burning stove which keeps the place cosy in the winter months. There is a piano and instruments and wi-fi access. The garden is large and in various stages of blooming and growth with fruit trees, foliage and vegetables for harvesting depending on which time of the year you visit. We have 3 bantam chickens called Thea, Hedda and Lady B
We also have a cat called Luna - who is independent and affectionate.

About the location

Kinghorn has some beautiful walks and a loch to the West of the village which sits alongside an ecology centre which runs craft and conservation workshops and classes for children of all ages. We have a lovely beach and a sailing club, golf course and clubhouse as well as a Lifeboat Station run by volunteers. The high street has cafe, community arts centre, shops and a small contemporary Art Gallery at the Railway Station. There are three pubs and a popular Bistro in the village.
Kinghorn is directly on the famous Coastal Path Hike between Forth Road & Tay Bridges. Easy access to Edinburgh, St Andrews and Dundee. We live 3hrs away from the heart of the Scottish Highlands.
