Peak District Home near Buxton and Edale

LOOKING FOR A FEW DAYS AWAY IN THE UK DURING EASTER>
Our family home is located on the edge of the Peak District National Park in a charming Derbyshire village that also benefits from being close to both Sheffield and Manchester. The peaceful location of our house enjoys excellent views of the nearby hills. If you enjoy walking, cycling, climbing and the great outdoor then our home is the ideal base.

Taking advantage of our south facing home, the downstairs is an open planned kitchen/dinner as well as lounge area with wood burning stove and fabulous views. Separate utility room and entrance hall. Upstairs we have two large bedrooms with a double bed in both with the third room has a cabin bed. Large bathroom with good sized bath and walk in shower with separate toilet.

In the garden there is an office (which you can see from the photos has a green roof). It is a heated enclosed space if you have to work on vacation.

2 chickens live in an enclosed pen in the garden. Our neighbour looks after them while we are away if our guests do not want to collect their eggs.

We have electric car charging on our drive

About the location

We live in a friendly village that has a local shop, gastro pub, tea shop and Indian restaurant. Supermarkets are oy 10 minute drive away.
Chinley has a train station that connects you to Manchester as well as Sheffield. You can get the train to Edale and walk back to our home. Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Mam Tor and Matlock Bath are all just a short drive away. Nearby you can try paddle boarding, golf, climbing, mountain biking as well hiking.
We have lived in this area since our children where babies and know of many good children attractions such as Alton Towers and Gullivers Kingdom.
