Lovely 2 Bed home in Richmond, England

Our decently sized 2 bedroom maisonette is perfect for a wide range of people as it situated in a lovely, sought after neighbourhood in South West London, close to the city centre but away from noise and the hustle and bustle. Would suit people looking for a peaceful holiday and also those that love the city.

We have a good sized living room with a 50" plasma TV which has a range of channels, a clean kitchen and dining room with good use of modern appliances. Upstairs, we have a white tiled bathroom and 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with a kind sized bed. Our place will comfortably sleep 4 people.

Our home has wireless internet for those that like to use their own laptops.

NEIGHBOURHOOD:
We live in south west London in a lovely place called Ham which is in the borough of Richmond. It is a very pleasant, peaceful, leafy and clean location which gives you peace from the hustle and bustle of the busy London city. It is approx a 2 minute walk to the River Thames which is beautiful and you can walk along the river banks towards neighbouring towns Kingston, Teddington, Twickenham and central Richmond. We are within walking distance of Richmond Park (biggest park in London).

It is a very safe area during the day and night. Locally, you have access to the local newsagents, small shop for food and essentials, bakery and a small beauty salon. All of these are of a 3 minutes walk from the house.

It is a 10min car/15min bus journey to Richmond and Kingston town centres. Both town centres have lots to see historically and commercially. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, cinemas, theatres, bowling alleys, gym etc.

There are excellent transport links. There is a bus stop 2 minutes away from our house and a fast train from Richmond to Waterloo is 20mins.

Local attractions include Ham House, Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace as well as an endless list of attractions in central London.

If you don't like the hustle and bustle of central London, you can explore the suburbs of London and south-west England and take day trips to the beach (Brighton beach 1 hour away- travel by car or train). Theme Parks such as Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland and Thorpe Park (recommended!) are within easy reach by public transport or car. You can visit the picturesque Windsor and see Windsor castle by car or train (30min train from Richmond). You can travel up North to explore what Northern England or Scotland has to offer.
