Lovely 3 Bed home in Dun Laoghaire, Ireland

Elegant, spacious comfortable terraced two-storey-over-basement period house in Clarinda Park East, one of County Dublin's elegant Victorian squares. Our home has lots of character - period fireplaces, chandeliers, ornate ceiling cornices, antique furniture and bay windows with shutters - but it's also a practical, liveable family home with modern amenities.

Excellently located in Dun Laoghaire on Dublin Bay, 13km (8 miles) from Dublin city, Ireland's vibrant capital. It's on a quiet street, a few minutes walk from the seafront, marina and Victorian pier of the small town of Dun Laoghaire, and the station for the regular DART commuter
train to Dublin city centre (20 mins journey).

The house is five minutes walk to the lively town centre of Dun Laoghaire, plus parks, shops,
varied restaurants, lively pubs, a theatre, multiplex cinema, hospital, seafront and great walks/cycles/sailing. There are public tennis courts in the park across the road from us, and
swimming (a small beach at Sandycove, or historic bathing spot Forty Foot) 15 mins walk away (7 minutes cycle!). At Sandycove beach, 10 minutes walk, from our home, is the Martello tower where James Joyce wrote Dubliners (there's now a Joyce museum there) and the coastal stretch is home to well known writers, rockstars and film-makers.

There is easy, speedy access to Dublin city (via Dart train, buses, or driving) and its cultural, shopping and sightseeing attractions and festivals, plus we're on the doorstep of Co Wicklow - great hillwalking and small villages and towns.

Accommodation: Three double bedrooms (main bedroom is especially large, with couch, chairs, fireplace, 6-foot bed, etc), elegant sitting room, separate dining room, eat-in kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, gas hob and electric double oven), utility room (washer and dryer), 2.5 bathrooms (antique freestanding bath in main bathroom), garden front and back with garden furniture, gas barbecue and fruit trees.

Clarinda Park is a safe, friendly street, and has a good sense of community; some of our neighbours are close friends. It is a cosmopolitan mix, with some houses split into apartments and
others, like ours, family homes. There are great amenities on the doorstep so it's a lovely quality
of life. Fully equipped and furnished, wifi, gas central heating.
