One foot in London, one foot in the forest!

Our comfortable family home would make a great base for anyone wanting to explore London in comfort. We have a large garden for children with trampoline, swings and a pool we put up in the summer. The house has room for families with two lounges and a conservatory which doubles as a dining room and a playroom. We have two good size double bedrooms, one smaller room with a double bed and a children`s bedroom. We are 10 mins to the train station with good links into Central London (about 25 mins by train).

Chingford is a lovely area with miles of parks and woodlands as well as a vibrant high street with plenty of nice bars and restaurants.

The best part of the area is that we are surrounded by Epping Forest which is beautiful to explore.

The house is very well equipped for families. We also have cats to feed!

If you want to explore the Essex countryside you will need a car but there are really good transport links within the area and into London.

About the location

We live on the outskirts of London surrounded by Epping Forest which is beautiful and a great place for walking and cycling.

We have a lively high street within walking distance with lots of restaurants and a bus/ train ride away is Walthamstow which has plenty of culture, including a cinema, a theatre due to open, galleries and museums.

We are near Highams Park which is a gorgeous area with lots of independent shops, restaurants and wine bars (and also a wonderful park and lake!)
Our favourite thing to do as a family is to explore the forest, we always find something new. We have a number of brilliant parks within walking distance, our nearest park even has a model railway.

In nearby Walthamstow there are the Wetlands which houses lots of birds, there is also a `beer mile` with lots of independent micro breweries and an incredible place called Gods Own Junkyard which houses thousands of neon lights.
We like to head into the centre of town to visit museums and galleries, our favourite is the Museum of London which is great for kids. We also love day trips to Greenwich to go on the Thames (boat) or over the Thames on the cable car. We have an Art Pass which gives free and discounted entry to lots of exhibitions that you can use during our stay.

For active families there are lots of cycling routes around, an indoor climbing centre nearby, swimming pools and trampolining/ click and climb.
