Moments from the sea, enjoy the cafe life style

My beautiful ground floor flat has sea views and plenty of space with large rooms and high ceilings. It is on an elegant tree-lined avenue: at our end is the beach and Hove Lawns, a lovely grass area where you can play games, picnic and enjoy beach life. At the other end of my road - a minute away - you are surrounded by restaurants, wine bars, cafes, and bespoke shops. You could eat out every night for two weeks without going to the same restaurant twice. However, if you fancy home cooking without the work, the local butcher sells the best pies, sandwiches and oven ready dishes I’ve ever had.

There are also three supermarkets within very easy walking distance too. And we are blessed with the best train and bus links - all within walking distance.

I have two bedrooms (sleeps 4). The main bedroom is huge, over 23 feet long (7 metres) and has a double bed, a television, a desk and computer in the bay window which overlooks the garden. The second bedroom has two single beds (I have a trundle bed with one bed stored under the other – it’s easy to pull it out) and plenty of wardrobe space. French doors lead out to a balcony overlooking my garden.

The living room is even larger than the main bedroom. Airy and light, it has beautifully plastered ceilings, comfortable seating, and lots of books. The television has Netflix and Amazon Prime.

My designer kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, induction hob, and an electric oven with a separate compartment to keep food and plates warm. It leads out to a balcony with table and chairs - perfect for breakfast - and steps leading to the handsome courtyard garden. It’s big enough to eat at the tables and for children to play in (plus there’s a fire pit for roasting marshmallows), but there’s no grass to cut.

I really like my designer wet room and there’s another toilet so no annoying queues.

The entrance hall is huge, and makes a lovely dining space The elegant French table seats 8 (when the leaves are pulled out)

My cat Murphy is gentle, relaxed and likes adults and children. He is a ragdoll and likes the indoor life, but he has a cat flap and can come and go as he pleases. He assumes everyone loves him. They do.

My lovely cleaner comes once a week.

About the location

My neighbourhood is unusual in that everything is on the level (Brighton and Hove is a very hilly city). That`s a great benefit for anyone with creaky knees or with young children. (And nice for everyone really.) This is a great place to walk, along the shoreline or through the streets. The area has outstanding architecture and you will find beautiful Regency squares a short stroll away.
Despite the fact that there is so much going on, my road is quiet with surprisingly little traffic.
Hove train station is 10 minutes walk away and has direct trains to Gatwick Airport (30 minutes), London (1 hour 10 minutes) That means you can explore everything the capital city has to offer, visit the outstanding Sussex countryside and live by the beach on the same holiday. Plus you can hire city bikes for an hour or a week and there is a coastal cycle path seconds away.
The centre of Brighton is a short bus ride away. There you will find theatre, cinema, comedy clubs, music venues and a fantastic collection of independent shops – fashion, jewellery, antiques and the downright quirky. Plus there’s a former Royal Palace with a jaw-dropping interior and a pier that children will love. All within 20 minutes of your beach side home from home.
